From what I've understood, Patreon has shifted some of its financial workings from San Francisco to Dublin, and this has led to all sorts of problems with payments. What used to be an internal transaction for U.S.-based Patrons has now turned international, leading many banks to mark these transactions as potential fraud. This change has also disrupted the Payoneer service, causing Patreon to shut it down until they can sort things out.
