Twenty years later, I'm happy to share with you this new color version of one of my most beloved characters :)

Only one day left to the poll, and "New Color Version" seems to be winning so far for the Classic tier.

In the meantime, since I'm already coloring this particular comic, you can enjoy the original version in its purest black and white form.

Ralph XII was originally published in BEAR #61 magazine, back in July 2000.

Color Classic, which tier?

When coloring a black and white Classic Comic, I've posted it in the Classic Comic tier under the tag "New Classic", leaving the original version out.

In fairness, after noticing many patrons prefer the black and white original versions, I think the next question is:

Which tier should I post the new color version of a Classic Co...

OK guys. It seems the first questions whether or not to color a Classic Comic is a tie. 

But there's another question that deserves a poll. And it's regarding to which tier would the color version belong to. Please go and vote!

Ralph 2000 and a question for you

A Classic comic is ready to see the light again. 

For this vintage comic classics I have a question for you that maybe deserves a poll: 

Do you prefer Classic comics in black and white as originally published, OR in a new color version?

Note that many of you didn't even read this original comic 20 (twenty!) years ago. The BEAR magazine was not known or read by many.

Pin-up Bear in Color! Aug/2020

Dear Patron, 

Please enjoy our pin-up model of August, in all of his hairy, color glory ;)

Drawing the hair (and other stuff) in separate layers grants me a flexibility that I didn't possibly have when I inked on actual paper. Very few things could be edited after finishing the inks. 

Now if there's a change of mind (it has happened before), I could, for example, change the color of the body hair, but also eliminate...

After choosing the right sketch, inking is the next step, of course. 

In this case, later I decided to put some color to the background, even though the main artwork remains black and white. 

The body hair is not drawn in this stage of the creative process. Actually I draw it near to the end, and in a separate layer.

Tired hand, one of the main reasons... :P 

But it's enjoyable, anyway :)

Hard At Work 2 (Classic in new color)

I posted this second part a few weeks ago in its original B&W version, but now both parts are in color!

So, it's a classic comic, but in a new color version. How would you call it? 

Remember, the "New Classic" tag is for the New Artwork from more than a year ago, that I repost for the Classic tier from time to time. 

A tag "New version classic" sounds OK to me.
