DD - Chapter 50 -  Bad Company

We took a carriage back to the manor just before dusk. The streets were quieter than before and the ride was peaceful. I expected to arrive back to little fanfare, and have a quiet night, but as soon as the carriage pulled into the employee entrance I felt my heart drop.

Chapter 66 - Undergrowth

Sooo... I'll be rewriting the last few lines of the previous chapter. I had this idea that I'd leave the door open to a planning, or manipulation antithesis maybe being born and escaping before the samurai arrived, but the more I wrote, the less I liked.

So... had some trouble with DD lately, and one of my discord members pointed out that it might be because I didn't have a solid idea of where to go next. We talked it out, and I figured out where to go for the rest of the book. Gonna try to go back to once every three days until I get to the end of the book, then figure out what to do from there. Book 2 - Chapter 64 - Vehicle Collision

Third TBoB chappy today? Fourth chappy written today? Sure. Apparently I can do that occasionally. Little bit of a curveball, which I forshadowed in the last chappy. The ending might need some changes, but I think it does a good job of wrapping up exactly what happened, and starts winding down everything, without tons of 'Teddy stood there and watched bears shoot' chapters. TBoB - Book 2 - Chapter 63 - Monstrosity (Humboldt PoV)

Sooo... wasn't happy with this at the start, but kinda happy with the end. Kinda expected to make this last longer than a single chapter, but the Forty-Four is supposed to be kind of a killer, so I'm not sure how many would survive another chapter. What do you think? Satisfying or not?
