While working on our movie Birthday Wonderland my roles were character design, imageboarding, props/location/mecha design, and also animation supervising. Satoshi Kon Tribute

This a tribute to works of one of my favorite animation directors - Satoshi Kon.

I’ve done it for Heisei Era Anime doujinshi book last year.

Kon’s works are really influenced me in a lot of ways - not only the visuals, but a total approach to imaginative movie direction. I really want to see his last unfinished work Dreaming Machine on a screens of the world someday.

Our movie Birthday Wonderland is out in cinemas of Japan starting today! 

For two years I’ve been working on this movie together with Keiichi Hara and a wonderful team of really skillful people, and I am really happy that we can finally start showing the results!
