Progress Report 8-3-18

This is a rundown on the progress of Parasite Infection since it was started Jan 20 2016.

- Initial game was a choose-your-own-adventure "game" on a spaceship.  Everything was hard coded directly in Twine.  And by hard coded I mean I did all the navigation manually, page by page.  No macros.  No javascript.

Patreon declines

Patreon moved their bank to the UK causing a large wave of declines for everyone.

At first I thought it was just me.  So I felt like shit, because I finally finished part 1 and then boom, devastation.  I held off on reacting to it for a little bit and thank god I did, because it looks like a patreon error.

It's too late in the process to add in parasitic plants to part 1, 2, or 3 but I'm definitely going to add it in somewhere after. It's too perfect.

Also, I'm working on a massive overhaul of the code. No feature changes, just efficiency changes and unifying a bunch of things into a clean game loop.

NPC's will take several days to contact the authorities about the parasites. It's a matter of trying to reach the right people - people who care and who will believe such a tale. During this time, it will be possible to infest the NPC that's trying to rat you out.
