I would think thatโs part of their job? Iโve only been to NYC for work so never had to think about it. In the Midwest itโs normal to tell the servers to split by couple or person even with a group of 10+. Typically the host of the party tells the server before anyone orders.

2021-07-06 23:02:53 +0000 UTCHi Maria, I'm not sure about on Manhattan, but I'm on Long Island in NY and I know that they are not thrilled with splitting bills. We usually figure it out on our own or in a large group one person pays and we figure out later
