I would absolutely buy the "Justice for Tardigrades" shirt Maya mentioned.

Oh god thank you so much, now i'm much less scared. I mean, i didn't think they -actually- sent a polar bear to space ๐Ÿ˜† We'd know about that! Just a poor monke ๐Ÿ˜ญ I did think though that they caught one and tested it or something. See, i'm all traumatized from the Mole Rat Experiments ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Tanja

Another great episode! Also - thank you for including metric numbers in all the stats, it's much appreciated!

Jamie

It's not about polar bears (lol), it's about tardigrades (also known as water bears)

Ruben

*looks at my pitcher plant planted in moss* whereโ€™s the moss piglets?!

I looove the Podcast, i just really wish you guys didn't talk about science experiments that hurt animals or put it at the very end. I am far too sensitive for those and the Naked Mole Rat hypoxia experiment explanation already made me unsure if i wanna listen again. I will definitely skip the polar bear Segment today but sometimes i listen while driving and can't really skip.

I wonder, maybe the frog that can't dig used to live some place rocky or where the ground never thaws enough to dig a useful depth. Also, i wonder if there are crevices below the antarctic ice where bugs like that could survive, waiting to wake back up once we've melted their icy prison... ๐Ÿ˜…
