Weekly Update #7

This week's worksheet is a bit different since it has a new tab at the very end of it - the schedule tab!

If you look at the schedule tab, you'll see what my goal is for after this first month of STAW and EDE is over. Those are both going to update once a day for the first 30 days, but then switch to 3 times a week. So I'll have 2-3 stories a day Mon-Sat, then just TTE on Sunday to give me some time off. I think that'll work out best for me. And then, depending on my success with erotic stuff, those 4 days where I'm only writing 2 stories a day might get their own weekly-updating erotic stories or potentially a third story that updates 3 times a week. 3 stories a day is my limit, though. I don't like having to switch between more than that in a single day. If I do make it so that I'm writing 3 stories a day Mon-Sat, I'll probably not write TTE on Sunday anymore since I'd already be putting out 20+ total chapters a week. It'd be nice to have a single full day off every week, but that is only if I'm writing 3 stories a day. 

You can also expect consistent updates for STAW and EDE once I actually have them posted online. Everything here on Patreon that isn't anywhere else is kind of like... an early alpha product. Once they're actually released on RRL and other sites, then they're in the beta and will have consistent updates.

A Slave's Voice

ASV just gets a mention this week because a certain Zabzab wrote a review that I am in 100% agreement with for it. They were able to better point out the flaws with it than I was, so since I know a certain Zabzab is a patron, I figure I'd drop some praise. Thank you, in case you're reading this<3.

The True Endgame

Somewhat related to ASV, but I feel like I'm employing some of what I've learned from ASV. One of my absolute biggest issues with ASV is that I was improperly pacing and balancing between the good stuff and the bad stuff. As it should be clear by now, this second volume of TTE deals with some more serious and a bit of dark themes. The first volume only had dark undertones whereas the second volume directly recognizes that some things in the world are fucked up (treatment of AIs being the most upfront issue). But rather than focus solely on the bad or solely on the good for a large amount of time without rest, I think I'm doing a pretty good job of breaking things up and giving readers a rest. A few of the latest chapters had a large focus on action and some dark stuff, but then the two chapters afterwards have been pretty recently received as some of the sweetest/nicest chapters so far. So, I like to think that I'm doing good at implementing slightly darker and more serious themes while still keeping things lighthearted and giving the readers breaks before they get overwhelmed.

Subverting Tropes in Another World, AKA "yeah im gonna marathon it this weekend and get it 15 chapters ahead *ends up not doing any of that*"

Basically, if you've read the latest chapter, you can more or less figure out that something serious is or isn't about to happen. You know, kill or not kill. I've been debating over what's going to happen because I want it to make sense and be at least somewhat realistic, but then last night while I was in bed, I finally figured out how to justify what's going to happen. Sometimes I forget that I'm writing a character whom is a bad guy, not a good guy trying to be bad. It's my first time writing a story where the character is more or less purely a bad guy. ASV had its kind of bad guy moments, but in the end, the MC was good. So, I think I've got a pretty good justification for what's going to happen while keeping it semi-realistic. I don't care about being completely realistic because it's fiction. As far as realism goes in stories, I don't give a single fuck. I only care about consistency.

Ero Dungeon Evolution

This hasn't even had the first chapter completed yet because I want to do it after I get STAW up to date, which clearly has yet to happen. Also, I need to finalize the dungeon system and evolution stuff and all of that before I finish the first chapter. So, apologies, but you'll have to deal with the teaser that is currently the unfinished first chapter for a bit longer. It's at least long enough to give you an idea of what you can expect from the story, I believe. 

Monday/Friday Monster Girls

I haven't really gotten much feedback regarding these, but #yolo. They're just cute/erotic weekly stories that are more for myself than anything else. I have a ton of fun writing them, especially the Friday one when I'm doing the entries at the ends. I'll be doing today's MMG after TTE, then STAW! I promise I'll work on STAW today after I get those done.

Patreon Changes

There won't be any changes this month, but starting next month, I am going to be changing some of the rewards. These changes will affect pretty much every tier. $5 and $10 are mainly going to be getting stuff added to them, but everything else is going to be changed around. Why? Because I'm spending more time now (50+ hours a week) on writing, am going to most likely end up with 3 stories a day by the end of next month, and am also going to open myself up to commissions. Rewards this month will not be affected. What I mean by this is that if you are currently paying, for example, $50 minimum because you want me to write 5 hours/5k words for you, then I will still do this once your payment goes through on the 1st of next month. It's just that afterwards, you'll want to check out the revised tiers. So everybody who pays on the 1st will still be getting the current rewards for next month in addition to the new rewards.

Furthermore, here are how the $5 and $10 tiers are going to work:

$5 will be 7 uploads (1 week) ahead for every "main" story, and 1 upload (1 week) ahead for the weekly stories.

$10 will be 14 uploads (2 weeks) ahead for every "main" story, and 2 uploads (2 weeks) ahead for the weekly stories.

TTE, STAW, and EDE are going to be the "main" stories with stuff like MMG and FMG being the weekly stories. Though, once I switch STAW and EDE to only updating three times a week as per the schedule I talked about up above, you'll technically be almost 5 weeks ahead (still only 14 uploads ahead, though). 

There will also be a change to how bonus chapters work.

Finally, regarding some of the erotic stuff I plan on posting, I might be in a bit of a pickle here. EDE, if you've paid any attention to what I say in the Discord and some of what I've said on here, is clearly going to have zoophilia in it. Therefore, I might have to post the actual ahead chapters off-site. I may have to link to them in a Google Drive document, or maybe on another site where I can make them unlisted, but either way, I'm going to have to do this for any "fringe" fetish content. Patreon has rules against rape, incest, bestiality, pedophilia, and anything else where "consent is hard to distinguish." As much as EDE is going to have all sorts of kinks, everything in it is clearly going to be consensual. However, some people argue that such things could ever be consensual, so for the sake of covering my ass, I'll likely have to post EDE and anything else with questionable kinks to another service and then link to it from here. For example, one erotic web novelist I discovered posts all of their stories to hentai-foundry, but whenever they include lolis or shotas, they only post links to other websites for each chapter. I might end up doing something like that.

In Closing

I think that's everything for the week! Also, Penguins made it into the second round of the playoffs, so as per tradition: fuck the Flyers! My boi Flower over in the Golden Knights also made it to the second round. As long as either of these teams win the cup, I'll be happy.

If you paid a higher amount than you were planning on for the first month, make sure that you alter your pledge before the first! I know a couple of people raised their pledges after hearing about my car tire issues, and I am incredibly appreciative for that. So, you're more than welcome to lower your pledges back down to what they originally were set at. It might hurt for a couple of minutes seeing my total income drop, but I'll live =P.
