Weekly Update #57

No drama nor rambling this week. I already got that out of my system, and I'd like to thank you again for your support and understanding!

Now, I hope you'll also be understanding about my recent addiction to RimWorld...

I really want to buy some more carboys to make more mead variants, too. I want to try a strawberry lemonade mead, a blackberry mead, a blackberry lemonade mead, a regular mead but made with pea blossoms so that it's beautifully blue/violet, and so on.

Maybe I should buy more honey and containers...

32 hours since I was late on TTE, but that just means this week will have an extra 8-9 hours added to it... unless I'm late with it again. But, I plan on reading more this week instead of just gaming in my free time, and that helps me get into a creative writing mood, so hopefully not!

The True Endgame

These are getting harder and harder to write without going into spoiler territory for those who are only pledged to the $1 and $5 tier. Oh, first things first, I noticed that I must have missed unlocking $1 and $5 chapters at some point. So, this week the $1 and $5 tier both got two new chapters each. Anyways, this week's chapter might have been late, but I was very happy with it. I like to think to think that I'm doing a good job of not introducing new characters only to forget about the old ones. Serra was the main girl for these past two chapters, and everybody else is going to be getting attention this volume, too, of course! Olly, Corwin, and Tabs will also be getting way more time this volume. I've even got some plans for Rock!

Ero Dungeon Evolution

Despite still enjoying the story and having plans to continue it, writing it just takes so much longer than all of my other stories. A TTE or TQH chapter might take me 7-9 hours, but EDE chapters have been taking like 10-14 hours to write lately. Regardless, I'm still having fun with the story and plan on continuing it even though it's so different from how I originally imagined it. It's a challenge, but it's one that I'm eager to take on. Plus I'm more hyped for the rest of this volume than I was for the first two volumes, so writing it should hopefully speed up once the ball really gets rolling!

The Queen's Hound

I think I'm going to begin the process of self-publishing this soon. That means editing, revising, rewriting some parts, and commissioning about 5-8 pictures for it. With my Patreon's stunted growth at the moment, it's really a good reminder that I can't keep on procrastinating with self-publication. So, that'll probably take me a week or two to edit, and then a couple of months or so for all of the pictures to be done. I'm not entirely sure which scenes I should get illustrated, though. Then I've also got to do all the research into how to successfully self-publish and do some of those free online "courses" for it. That's going to be a major drain on my time, but it'll be worth it and it's something that I need to do.

Anyways, if you have any suggestions for scenes you would like to see illustrated in the first volume, let me know! I know the evolution is definitely going to be one. Elanah on all fours looking thirsty at him with hearts in her eyes is probably another one. Then maybe when he's swinging his sword down at the rat queen. Maybe the moment where Peter and Saylee look scared of him and what he can do.

CORE

Will this week have the final chapter? Or will the final chapter somehow get pushed back to the next week again? Who knows! I will say, though, that the MC is going to have some comments on the cover which are going to be fun to write. It's only natural for him to talk about the cover of his book since it is his book. I think I'll try writing this tonight so that I don't get behind for the week, too. But first, I'm going to go take a break, eat some food, and wash up. Maybe play just a bit of RimWorld...

I really need to go through more of the Monogatari series, though, given that it's my biggest inspiration for my writing style. The more I read, the more I'll be able to refine my own style. I also really need to read more of the Spice & Wolf series for some plans regarding other things in the future.
