Author’s Point of View

Made it another fifty chapters! This was probably the worst ones I’ve put out so far. I was ten chapters ahead but ended up getting sick and burned through all my backup chapters. The Ninja Ark was originally going to be the main protagonist and Danny Rand beating people in K’un Lun where Ironfist goes on a heroes journey to put an end to the hand but the jokes were all just the same ‘and the protagonist one hit kills his opponent as Ironfist struggles’.

I scrapped those chapters which meant I had no backup chapters and needed to make two chapters a day so I could put out two chapters. I was producing so much that I made several plotholes I have to go back and fix. HYDRA was supposed to attack M.A.N.A. and I just completely forgot about it. I’ll have to bring it up next time he sees Nat. If I had more time I’d like to completely redo the heist chapters.

I had an idea in my head to have several women with different specialties all serve a different purpose but I was looking up potential female thieves and only got a handful. It was definitely rushed and when I do finish the story it’s going to be one of the first things I go back and make more interesting. The next bunch of chapters is just going to be smut as I clean up some of the women I’ve been thinking of but haven’t had a good spot to put them into the story.

I wanted to do a ‘bug superpower mashup’ like a hundred chapters earlier and it kept getting pushed back. I want to knock out a bunch of the leftover businesswomen he was aiming for as well before focusing back on the mutants. I know I want Kitty and Rogue to be girlfriends that stick around but I’m not so sure on Storm or Jean anymore.

I really enjoyed writing this until I didn’t have that safety net of chapters then I felt like I was rushing to keep up and sabotaging myself instead of taking it slow. This was never supposed to be that serious. I just noticed most works only focus on the same heroines over and over again and no one gives any love to D-list heroes or villains. It’s always Black Widow and Gwen Stacy if it’s Marvel or Galatea and Raven for DC. To be fair I plan to write about them but for some of the characters I’ve had sex scenes for it’s their first time I’ve ever seen them in anything.

Going down to one chapter made a huge difference as I could focus on other things and didn’t feel like I was constantly behind. You don’t realize how much it’s affecting your health until you’re going to bed at 3 because you had to stay up to finish another chapter. Destroyed my sleep schedule and I have been mainly focused on reading the past few days to take a break rather than writing recently but I’m starting to feel mostly recovered so expect more bonus chapters of my other works.
