Parts of New York are so bad to drive in (ahem *flushing* iykyk) there are 3-4 lane roads with the lines completely faded away so you donโt really know how many lanes there are and the intersections are so confusing as well because it will expand into 5 or more lanes for the bus only land which is also the right turn lane and a left turn lane if you are lucky enough to have one. Some main roads only allow busses and trucks now so regular cars canโt drive on them which is confusing if youโre using a GPS. There are also signs at traffic lights saying to stop at red light. Not โstop here at red lightโ or โno right on red.โ The sign literally only tells you to stop at a regular traffic light when it is red. Why does there need to be a sign for this??? This alone should tell you how bad it is. Also it often takes literally 1 hour to drive 1 mile on a highway as I have experienced many many times. I live in the next state over and go to New York at least once a month with my family for the past 20 years because my grandparents live there and I have never been the driver because thereโs no way I can drive in New York.
