๐ฌ A Little Rant from a Frustrated Model
Added 2025-10-29 14:14:52 +0000 UTCI truly love every photographer Iโve had the honor of working with. Iโm so grateful when people share the results of our shoots โ every message, every file, every photo means a lot to me. I really do appreciate the effort every single time. โค๏ธ
Butโฆ
Iโm so tired.
After so many years of full-time modeling, Iโve reached a point where I can no longer remember every photographerโs name. It feels awful to admit, but most names now live only in my passive memory โ meaning Iโll recognize them when I see them, but I canโt recall them on my own.
And hereโs the part that drives me a little crazy:
๐ Nobody names the photo folders they send with the photographerโs name!
Every month, I receive around 20 folders. Every year, thatโs about 200 โ all named something like โKate,โ โKate Ri,โ or, in the best case, โKate in [city name].โ
And because of that, I canโt share so many beautiful images โ simply because I donโt know who took them. My brain can only hold so many names and Instagram handles before it starts to glitch. ๐
So please โ can we normalize including both names in the folder title?
Something like:
PhotographerName & ModelName โ Location/Date
Ideally with social media tags too (but I know that might be asking for a miracle ๐).
It would make life so much easier for models and make sure photographers get the credit they deserve when their work is shared.
Thank you for listening to my little rant โ and for caring about the small things that make creative collaborations smoother. ๐
Do you think this is something we could start reminding each other of more often? Iโd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Hi Kate, first of all, I want to thank you so much for your many years of work, which, contrary to appearances, at this stage you're at, is (I suspect) increasingly demanding physically and mentally. You're amazing, hard-working, persistent, and above all, beautiful. You've touched on a very interesting and technically important topic. There are probably many applications that help with assigning and sorting files, but I don't know of any that use AI for this purpose. If anyone knows of such an application, please let me know; it might be a solution ๐๏ธ๐บ
