GREAT REACTION AYDIN!!! i was cackling so hard when you were softly coming around to understanding and sympathizing with jiwoo since ep.7 because your beef with him ran SO deep ๐โโ๐ but it just goes to show how well-written this show is. we got deep character development and a look into the psyche of someone who is deeply depressed/insecure, and thinking they were undeserving of love. and seojun with his own traumas, who manifested it differently than jiwoo. who clung to his love so desperately; equally afraid of abandonment. whereas you left season 1 with some doubts about them working out as a couple, s2 was so needed to show their growth and at the end of s2, you truly believe theyโll now be able to make it. one thing i wish viki translated better was their confrontation at the end of ep 9/beginning of ep 10. jiwoo was pleading with seojun. he insinuated that unlike seojun, he couldnโt go through the things seojun did to try and get him backโhe was admitting that he was weak, and not strong enough like seojun. when seojun asks โwhat is this? a threat?โ and viki translated it โno, itโs a requestโ the true depth of the translation is โno, iโm begging you.โ because atp, he really was begging seojunโฆ that part hits me in the feels so hard ;u; and itโs so easy to understand why seojun forgives him immediately. he can see how hard it is for jiwoo, and he can empathise. and of course, he loves him. and director hwang daseul is a genius when itโs revealed that the very first scene in episode 1, is actually a look into the future!!! after they get back together, that was shown in ep 1โwhen i saw that the very first time i yelled. it wasnโt that they were perfect before (jiwoo hadnโt even said i love you to seojun in their one year together), it was that they worked towards it. truly *chefโs kiss* on the director and writerโs part. also i love that they show how much jiwooโs changed in the little details (very much show donโt tell, as you said). like him being more friendly to others, or riding into town in his rich boyfriendโs jaguar (something old jiwooโs pride wouldโve never allowed haha). a kbl hasnโt topped tms2 for me yet, thanks so much for reacting to it itโs truly a gem :โ)

2025-04-04 06:58:31 +0000 UTCGreat reaction. Ji Woo's growth through the season was good and I can see them working out now since they have both grown but it still pisses me off how much he put Seo Joon through. I agree that the writing and the development of this show is different to most BLs...
