Skim solo
Added 2022-10-26 15:12:28 +0000 UTCI just found this drawing of the guitar solo from my song “Skimâ€. I think I was making these drawings as far back as 2015, when I first started writing that song. It’s not easy to explain it but I saw it as architecture and the notes I was playing were bricks for a house. This is what it looked like to me. Anyway, feeling weird these days. What about y’all? Lots of love and warmth ♥ï¸

The Skim solo has always been one of my favorites. I was right in front of you when you played it at Union Stage in Washington DC and I was absolutely transfixed. So I just played it again while looking at your sketches. I can kinda see the bottom one but the top one totally eludes me. Anyway, yeah, I'm feeling a bit weird too. It's not a comforting world nowadays but your music helps.
