Murtagh was not in the first book as much as heβs in the first season of the show. I love his relationship with Jamie. He is his father figure and always by Jamieβs side. I also love the relationship he builds with Claire. Itβs a shame heβs barely in the book, but so happy the show runners decided to build these relationships.
