Added 2024-08-09 04:00:02 +0000 UTCI'm a bit late for the Korean Wave, The rise in popularity of K-pop and K-drama, Webtoons and Manghwa, dozens of Korean words being added to our dictionaries, and the rise of Koreaboos. My late dad was deployed to South Korea before he met my mom. He was in the Second Infantry Division, and he was there to help defend the DMZ in the off chance there's an attack from North Korea. There was only like two stories I remember from him. One was him briefly being in Japan he had a connected flight to Seoul, and While he was in SK, he was spending most of his wages on Korean Barbecue.
This drawing does include a very topical alternative reflecting current events between the north and South.
