And The Paris Olympics did happen last month, so I thought to draw Rouge in a cross country running event. I am bummed out that the Mario and Sonic Olympic series is kinda over, and I'm outraged at the IOC for killing such a beloved franchise for NFTs (like seriously, I understand esports, but NFTs in a time the NFT-crypto bubbled popped a long time ago? Not to mention that NFT spits in the face of what the Paris Olympics are trying to do regarding sustainability.) But don't cry because it's over, be happy that it happened, which is probably what the Ancient Greeks said when the Theodosius II shut the whole Ancient Olympics down during the 4th Century CE. depriving the known world of the opportunity to javelin throw, discus throw, long jump, run and wrestle as naked as the day you were born and nearly left to die at the bottom of a mountain. Who knows, much like how the Olympics were rediscovered and reintroduced, maybe the IOC will revive the M&S series, make a spirtual successor to the series, or at least ditch the NFT bs. The IOC deserve to get clowned at for shilling NFTs in the year of our lord 2024.
Fun fact the Olympics in Paris may be over, but you still got the Paralympics, which is like the Olympics but for the disabled.
