And no, "plus ultra" isn't a MHA reference. This is actually the motto or slogan used in the Spanish Coat of Arms, wrapped around the pillars of Hercules. meant to reference that Spain (or Iberia in general) is located at the edge of the known world at the time, and the motto was adopted sometime after the Voyages of Columbus when it turns out there is something further beyond.
