Because Flurrie is our randomly selected woman to be caught in the buff. for some context, Goombella wants to bring the gang back together for the holidays, since the whole team throughout the adventure, was just one big happy family consisting of a plumber from Brooklyn, a valley-girl archeologist major, a nerdy Koopa, a world-renowned actress, a Yoshi who became a fighting champ less than half an hour after being born (who won't be present in the shopping since he's in bed), Former member of the Shadow Sirens and Full-Time Trans Icon, and a Seadog with the saddest backstory in a Mario Game.
However, when coming to get Flurrie, she misplaced her necklace again, so Mario and Goombella have to find it again, when they finally return the lost necklace, Flurrie accidentally reveals that she lost her clothes of all things, and Goombella and Maria can't just let Flurrie sit this one out. After all, it's all of us or none of us.
Mario hatch an interesting idea that would have Flurrie join the party, even if her storm clouds visible. ENF and ENM lovers will have a field day with is.

That depends on whether recruiting Ms. Mowz is canon. Though, even if you do decide to recruit Ms. Mowz for your party, Knowing Goombella, she would never invite let alone mention this Christmas reunion to her anyway.
