One idea I once had was a feudal Japan-style Kingdom Hearts. I mean It's not too far off, even though Kingdom Hearts aesthetically takes inspiration from Western fantasy (Hell, most characters from Union X Dark Road are named after Norse gods)
But hey, there could be other schools that teach people about the Keyblade beyond Scala ad Caelum or Lad of Departure, simular to how there are different schools or styles of real-life sword play.
