International Women's Day-Eating Canned Spinach and Lie

Happy Women's Day, even though it's only an official holiday in like the Former Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba--basically any country that tried a socialism once. It's a rare Socialism win to have a day dedicated to women's rights and empowerment, then again, has China or Cuba ever had a pride month?

Weird holidays aside, there are probably some questions since I'm not expecting anyone to know who Betty Boop or Olive Oyl is. Their cartoons are from decades ago, and my granny is probably too young to remember them...

1. Yes, the background is my desk that I took with my phone and ran Fotosketcher on it.

2. 1925 doesn't mean anything. It's a random year I chose. Popeye and Betty Boop (the animated cartoons, they were comic strips before animation took off) were around the 1930s, though Popeye did eventually go into the 40s and 50s.

3. Who's Bluto? Bluto is a character from Popeye. He's usually the bad guy who gets his ass beaten by Popeye at the end.  He's such an ass, but who even more of an ass is that one guy who is just eating burgers...

4. Who's the Old Man of the Mountain? He's the titular character of a Betty Boop of the same name released in 1934, roughly a year before the Hays Code. Basically everyone fears him, and during the cartoon, it's implied that he's a r*pist,....doesn't help that he tried to make a move on Betty, even like grabbing her and all that...You can find the cartoon on YouTube, but be warned that the music is fire (by 1930's standards)

5. Is there McDonald's in the 1930s? No. And they didn't have cell phones to charge back then, but I kept the "Charge they phone" line in, because it's funny. Let's not let the truth get in the way of a good laugh.
