You'll Stay With Her, Right?

This was an old suggestion from someone on Deviantart and the chracter suggested is Eiko Houzuki from Dark Gatherings, a Manga/Anime Serial that I've seen a few episodes of. The best way I can describe the show is basically anime Scooby-Doo, just that there's no dog. She's the childhood friend and girlfriend of the main character, Keitarou Gentouga.

Yes, she is basically a Yandere, she has a history of some obsessive GF antics such a s wiretapping Keitarou's phone, installing secret cameras in his room, installing GPS tracking devices...I've only watched a few episodes, and I'm scared to ask is she ever threatened to kill someone in the name of Keitarou...

Honestly, I just hate the Yandere archetype, probably more than the Tsundere Archetype. Tsunderes are a pain in the ass to watch, sure..., but usually Tsundere's go through a character arc where they maybe open up to their lover or learn to be less of a bitch. Like at least the Tsundere might have redeeming qualities that make the character want to root for them. Natsuki from Doki Doki Literature Club is one example of a Tsundere that I like. However Yanderes I just hate to watch, simply because they're actions are not only just excessive, but flat out illegal, AND we're supposed to root for them. cough cough Yandere Simulator cough cough. Like if Japanese Manga or Anime companies allow it, there could be a story where a Yandere SA'd the main guy and he ends up marrying her in the end after volumes/seasons of manipulation, gaslighting, and probably a lot of bloodshed.

It's also the reason why I don't think Yandere Simulator could ever work, story-wise. It's good for a sandbox game, but the lore shouldn't be there in the first place. Yanderes in my opinion shouldn't be love interests, but instead should be a villain archetype.
