I started off by working on the Topaz house. I still had to do the linework and colors for this background, and I really like how it turned out! Ms. Topaz is a bit indifferent, so I wanted to reflect her attitude with little details like the poorly managed lawn. I spent a good chunk of time finishing Miss April. I didn't like how the initial design turned out, so I decided to redo a lot of her look. Plus, I worked on her expressions! She's going to be a bit of a bully, and you can already see some of her jaded/mean faces. Next up was my favorite part (just joking): integrating the new sprite into the game. It's never fun realizing that a sprite is too big and having to resize all the expressions, but it happens. Thankfully, now that most of the characters are done, it will happen a lot less! With that done, I could focus on working on the next scenes! So, June gets to meet Ms. April before heading home. (Screenshot 1) Finally, I did a little scene before dinner where June helps Ms. Sato cut some vegetables. And that’s all for now! Next week, I’ll focus on finishing the dinner scene and, hopefully, all the other scenes for the end of the day.
