Koreans eat sweet potatoes plain. But they have real sweet potatoes that are sweet. Not yams. Our family bakes real sweet potatoes in foil for Thanksgiving just like baked potatoes. And serve them that way just adding butter. They really don't need sugar. Americans are just used to adding all types of stuff on them and not eating them naturally. American's taste buds are altered due to all the additives in foods. Growing up on a farm which my parents did. And we grew up always having a garden...I am used to eating most things naturally. The trick to trying it and tasting it naturally is too fast and go without sugar or additives and then taste it. It tastes great. Sweet corn off the cob. Delicious. Tomatoes. Delicious. Try it sometime. I think HEB probably stocks real sweet potatoes if I remember correctly. A little off subject. Our HEB in Abilene, Texas also made fresh flour tortillas. You could buy them "Hot off the press". The Best!

He also brought up the fact that he had lost 33 pairs of airpods at that time, I can't imagine how many he's lost by now.

I'm an army for 8 years now, I never found it strange they sleeping together, i love how comfortable they are with each other

Everyday friends share beds for sleepovers or travel (hotel beds), so the fact that people overreact when it is V and Tae is really weird. It screams "I don't have friends" lol

For the chips/roasted, I'm basic and go for olive oil, garlic, paprika, rosemary/thyme salt and pepper. The most common way I eat them is as a mash, which is probably exactly what you imagine ๐ just butter, sour cream, milk, garlic, salt and pepper. I often make the mash to go with salmon and add some lime juice, which is a fairly common pairing, at least around me, but there are so many ways/seasoning options!! I highly recommend but im biased ๐ .

2023-12-06 19:10:01 +0000 UTChow do you all cook them to be savory???? i have done it but haven't loved it, probs need to do better flavor combos. here in america sweet potato casserole is a standard holiday bake, and we lie to ourselves that its a "casserole" because a vegetable is in it. its just butter, brown sugar, adn sweet potato with marshmallows on top, roasted. but i also like to roast sweet potato with pear (or apple) and honey.

Were I'm from we have sweet potato savoury as a soup, plain by itself with salt and pepper, as fries, mash. It sounds interesting you guys have it with marshmallows

2023-12-06 16:20:49 +0000 UTCThat's so funny; where I am in Australia, I've only seen people eating them as savoury side dishes, fries/roast/mash, etc or just with butter/plain as a snack. I never considered eating them as a dessert, but it makes sense. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, though I guess I'll have to try it before I judge ๐ ๐
